Seoul, South Korea, set list heavy on new material, but Gaga's biggest hits come out to play.
By John Mitchell
<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> kicked off her hotly awaited <i>Born This Way</i> Ball at Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Stadium on Friday (April 27) in front of 45,000 fans, and despite <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17867102" target="_blank">protests</a> from Christian groups saying Mother Monster was "obscene" and could "taint" young people with her performance, the concert appears to have gone on without incident. </P><P> </P><P>Intrepid Twitter fans are already showing off pictures and video of the <i>BTW</i> Ball's enormous Gothic castle backdrop and myriad costume changes, making it clear that Gaga has outdone even her own Monster Ball in terms of spectacle. </P><P> </P><P>While we wait for reviews to trickle in from halfway around the world, one thing is certain: No minors were corrupted at the show. Earlier this month, the Korea Media Rating Board decided to <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/04/02/lady-gaga-unfazed-by-south-korean-concert-age-restrictions/">elevate the age rating</a> for the concert from 12 to 18, prohibiting minors from seeing the concert. When the board notified Gaga's tour promotion company and a sponsor of the change in age restrictions, it did not offer a reason why the show — which at the time was still in rehearsals and had not been reviewed publicly — was considered unsuitable for children under 18. </P><P> </P><P><CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:717952/cp~vid%3D717952%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A717952" width="430" height="242" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER> </P><P> </P><P>The likely catalyst for the board's decision came more into focus as the concert neared and protests from a group of conservative Christians calling itself the Alliance for Sound Culture in Sexuality ramped up. The group <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-57419977-10391698/lady-gagas-born-this-way-ball-met-by-protests-in-south-korea/" target="_blank">covered Seoul with posters</a> accusing Gaga of "spreading unhealthy sexual culture" through "lewd lyrics and performances." </P><P> </P><P>The superstar and her fans, however, were undeterred. Though she <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/186886867118080000" target="_blank">tweeted</a> her hopes that the Korea Media Rating Board would reverse its decision (it didn't), she continued on as planned. Many fans reportedly arrived at the show wearing versions of Gaga's most well-known flamboyant costumes, and there have been no reports of disturbances at the concert. </P><P> </P><P>Before the show, Gaga <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/195815732494348288" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "I can you hear you Korea. I'm shaking." </P><P> </P><P>Gaga's performance was heavy on material from her <i>Born this Way</i> album, though her biggest hits, including "Bad Romance," Poker Face" and "Just Dance," were represented. </P><P> </P><P>Lady Gaga's <i>Born This Way</i> Ball set list: </P><P> </P><P><b>»</b> "Highway Unicorn" <br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Government Hooker"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Born This Way"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bloody Mary"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bad Romance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Fashion of His Love"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "The Queen"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Just Dance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Love Game"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Telephone"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Just Dance"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Heavy Metal Lover"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Bad Kids"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Hair"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Yoü and I"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Electric Chapel"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Americano"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Poker Face"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Scheiße"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "The Edge of Glory"<br> </P><P><b>»</b> "Marry the Night" </P><P> </P><P><i>Did you see Lady Gaga's </i>Born This Way<i> Ball? Why is 30 Rock doing another live episode? Well, NBC asked them to do it, and they were "just dumb enough to say yes," says Tina Fey in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. This Thursday, the show will air live at 8:30 p.m. ET, and then restaged at 8:30 p.m. PT.

Call them hip-hop's odd couple. Though they both hail from Pittsburgh and are signed to local indie label Rostrum Records, Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller absolutely hate each other — well, not really. On Wednesday's "RapFix Live," the 'Burgh's finest appeared together for their first joint interview.
Rather than play things straight, the pair decided to have a little fun on set.
"Why is he here?" Wiz asked, throwing his hands in the air after host Sway Calloway brought Mac onto the "RapFix Live" set.
"I'm getting hated on on this couch man; can I get my own couch?" Mac responded.
Sway tried to play peacemaker, but Wiz and Mac weren't having it. The two were cordial enough to sit down on the red couch together, but refused to face each other.
"I haven't seen you in a while man, you looking good," Khalifa said, looking away from Miller trying to break the playful tension. "Thanks, wish I can say the same for you, man," Mac responded, trying his best to hold in his laughter.
A beef between Pittsburgh's two biggest rap stars would be quite problematic, considering that the duo are planning to hit the road together this summer on the Under the Influence of Music tour. Khalifa and Miller will be joined by Taylor Gang's Chevy Woods as well as TDE's Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q on the nine-show run.
Though they remain good friends, Wiz and Mac have built their own careers separate from each other. There are only a few low-key collaborations between the pair, but they plan to record together again soon. "Me and Mac are gonna collaborate together because that's what I want to do, it doesn't matter what he wants to do. What I say goes," Wiz said in character. "We're gonna do a song, because we've had a plan this whole time," Mac revealed.
"Actually I need Mac. I'm trying to use his success to boost my album because it's about to come out," Khalifa joked.

Koss may be known for its budget-minded offerings in the headphone space, but today it's announced something to shake things up a bit. Falling under the Striva moniker, Koss has created what it claims to be the first lineup of headphones to use "WiFi technology that receives music directly from the Internet without wires." To start, there's the over-ear Pro model, loaded with gesture controls for volume and channel adjustments, while an in-ear set, dubbed Tap, is also available for extra portability. Interestingly, the Taps don't use a connecting wire -- instead, "microprocessors" inside of of each earpiece consistently ensure that the stereo signal is staying in sync. To elaborate, both models feature Koss' Core, which the company describes as battery-powered microprocessors coupled with WiFi components. Utilizing the company's new MyKoss server, you'll be able to pull content from a variety of free audio streams, and customize your own listening experience with the included music management software. Lastly, if you don't have a WiFi connection -- in cases such as using your cellphone -- each unit comes with a "matchbook-sized" Content Access Point, which lets you easily create a WiFi hub of sorts to enable wireless listening wherever you are.
If these headphones have piqued your interest, get ready for the kicker: the Taps are priced at $500, while the Pros are set at a slightly cheaper $450. Both models are available from Koss today, and you'll find more info in the press release and video just after the break.
