BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) ? The California League All-Stars were announced Monday, and five Bakersfield Blaze players have made the team.
The Blaze, who are in first place in the North Division, are tied with the Lake Elsinore Storm and High Desert Mavericks for the most All-Star selections.
The California League All-Stars will play the Carolina League All-Stars on June 19 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Blaze All-Stars are pitchers Tony Cingrani, Chad Rogers and Brian? Pearl, and infielders Billy Hamilton and Donald Lutz. Hamilton will be a starter, and Cingrani and Lutz won't be active in the game, according to a California League news release.
The Blaze are the High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
